Faculty and Staff Temporary Parking for People with Disabilities
Most buildings have temporary parking spaces for people with disabilities but may require a special UBC parking permit that applies specifically to that area.
A valid SPARC permit or a letter from the
Disability Resource Centre is required. Please call Parking & Access Control Services at 604.822.6786 for assistance regarding special parking arrangements.
Misuse of Parking Spaces for People with Disabilities or Permits
Designated disabled parking spaces are reserved for the sole use of SPARC permit holders. Vehicles without SPARC permits may be ticketed and/or impounded. Altering a permit or use of a stolen or counterfeit decal or permit may result in significant fines and penalties.
To report abuse or misuse please call 604.822.6786 or 604.822.2222.
Misuse of SPARC Permit
Misuse of a SPARC permit for the benefit of preferential parking privileges is a violation and will result in ticketing and possible vehicle impoundment. The minimum fine is $100.00 plus impound charges in addition to confiscation of the SPARC permit.
