Service Updates

As the situation with COVID-19 evolves day-to-day, our top priority during these challenging times continues to be the health and safety of our co-workers, customers and communities.

Our communities are working hard to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and to support these efforts the Access desk is closed to customers until further notice to support social distancing efforts and based on recommendations from local health authorities. Our Customer Support Team is now working on reduced hours of operation from 8 AM – 4 PM ET, Monday-Friday. Given the current situation, our Customer Support Team is experiencing higher than usual contact volumes and we appreciate your patience on wait times for phone and email contacts.

Departmental Updates:

Parking

Effective September 1, 2020, all permit holder parking fees, including those for students, faculty and staff are being reinstated. Read more.

Permit Refunds – expecting a refund? Refunds are currently being processed in our systems automatically and will be finalized by June 30th.

UBCcards

We are currently receiving UBCcard applications made on-line only. Once ready, cards will be available through Curbside Pick up. Apply for a UBCcard at www.ubccard.ubc.ca.

Key Issuance

Key requests must be made by designated departmental administrators. New key requests will be available for Curbside Pick up only. If you would like to pick up an old key request please e-mail acms.support@ubc.cato arrange pick up.

Key Returns

We encourage anyone that will be returning to campus for work or school in the Fall to retain their UBC keys and follow up once our offices have resumed in-person services; however, for our customers that do not plan to be back on Campus in the Fall we do have a return process in place.

ON CAMPUS: A drop box for key returns has been set up in the lobby of Campus Security at 2133 East Mall. Keys should be sealed in an envelope along with your name, phone/email, and UBC ID#

Key returns will be processed for refund within 14 days.

REMOTE RETURN: Keys may be mailed for processing. Please mail keys in a padded mail envelope and include your name, phone/email, and UBC ID#

Lost and Found

We are currently not operating the Lost and Found and we have not received any new items since March 16 2020. For health and safety reasons please do not drop off or mail any items for the Lost and Found as the items will not be retained.
