Is there tax on parking permits and rates?
Hourly rates available at Honk and Pay Stations include all applicable taxes in the displayed price, while parking permits have taxes added at checkout.
Effective August 1, 2025, the Metro Vancouver Parking Tax will increase from 24% to 29%. As a result, the total tax on parking will rise from 30.2% to 35.45%. This total includes the 5% GST applied to both the parking fee and to the Metro Vancouver Parking Tax itself.
